We believe that people have the power to influence and inspire change in others, if they wear their values proudly.
It might seem obvious to say, but there seems to be a lot of negativity and anger around these days. People getting lost in depression and hopelessness. How can we change that?
We have to take care of ourselves first. To make sure we’re surrounding ourselves with the right thoughts and messages. A cliché it may be, but we need to be the change we want to see.
If you’ve got something to say, what better way to make it truly personal than to wear it, to use it, to show it to the real world. To make a real “fashion statement”, as it were.
So we've launched this movement and are inviting everyone to come with us and join our Passeatta!
The name Passeatta was inspired by a word in Portuguese that has two different meanings. In Portugal, passeata is used to describe a small walk or wander around, a bit of sightseeing. In Brazil, the word is strongly connected to a rally or a march, in which people take to the streets to express their opinion, to stand up for what they believe in and to fight for change. That's exactly what we're about. To spread ideas on the wind, scattering positive messages and hoping for a better world.
It's no accident that our logo is a dandelion, that little flower we remember from childhood, and which even as adults we can't walk past one without picking it up, blowing away its seeds and making a wish.
This one plant represents so many things that fit perfectly with Passeatta; hope, freedom, strength, unity, resilience, tolerance, simplicity.
We want to send these seeds floating and flying around the world. Words have tremendous power to travel far and wide, and where they land they grow into something bigger, stronger and enduring.
